About Pooja Prasanth

As a biophysical chemist with over six years of research experience, I am passionate about understanding and manipulating biomolecular interactions for developing novel drug delivery systems and therapeutic agents. In my previous role as a postdoctoral researcher at IIT Bombay, I designed and developed micellar-based drug delivery systems, analysed the quantitative aspects of protein misfolding, and investigated the interaction of drugs with proteins upon micellar delivery. I also assisted in the supervision of postgraduate students working on research projects related to protein chemistry and rational drug discovery. My research skills and competencies include biochemistry, isothermal titration calorimetry, spectroscopy, calorimetry, and computational biology. I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as protein stabilisation, protein aggregation, and protein folding. I am also proficient in English, Hindi, and Malayalam languages. I am eager to apply my knowledge and expertise in biophysical chemistry to research focused on defining the molecular underpinnings of disease, drug delivery, and biomimetics. I am looking for opportunities that will allow me to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, employ cutting-edge approaches, and contribute to the advancement of science and medicine.
