With extensive expertise in loading a diverse range of cargo on Handymax laker ships at some of the world's most demanding ports, I thrive on overcoming obstacles and continuously raising the bar for myself and my team. Over the past six years, I have excelled as a Marine Superintendent, overseeing operations with precision and dedication of bulk carriers ranging from Handymax to Cape vessels calling at some of the most challenging ports, such as Port Hedland, Australia. My role involved meticulous overseeing cargo operations, planning, and execution to ensure the smooth running of maritime activities, and ensuring the vessel is always prepared for any kind of inspections. My proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to manage complex logistical challenges have consistently contributed to the success of the operations I supervise. I have experience working with BHP, Cargill, FMG, Bahri, OLAM, Fednav, LDC and various other charterers. I’ve recently expanded my expertise by leading the setup and full revamp of our company’s Safety Management System (SMS) structure. This was part of the transition under new technical management and ownership of a second-hand vessel added to our fleet. From overseeing end-to-end operations to successfully securing a charter agreement with Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), it’s been a rewarding challenge that sharpened both my operational and strategic capabilities. Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience as a Junior Officer on LPG tankers. This role provided me with a solid foundation in maritime operations and safety protocols. The hands-on experience and knowledge acquired during this time have been instrumental in shaping my approach to leadership and operational excellence.
