About Poorva Israni

I am a sustainability advocate and environment policy researcher. I intend to bring novel ideas forward for sustainable transitions through capacity-building, climate education, and entrepreneurship. I have 3+ years of experience in capacity-building programs, project management, and climate training for youth and women. My experience primarily has been in green economy research and advocacy, and I aim to gain extensive experience in green projects, specifically in the field of green energy and electric mobility. I hold a Master’s in Environment and Sustainability from University of Western Ontario. I also have a Master in Public Policy from O.P. Jindal Global University. My internships during my academic journey with United Nations Development Program and The Asia Foundation during my Master’s degree has helped me in honing my key skills, which include policy research and writing, community development, and social impact in green/sustainable development work. Through my work, I ardently want to advocate for the localization of Sustainable Development Goals and education training toward increasing the consciousness about our planet and environment.
