About Popy Banerjee

With over two years of data science experience and nine years of library assistant and analyst experience, I have developed a strong background in business analysis, data mining, data analytics, and data visualization. I have successfully applied my skills to various projects in the financial services and academic sectors, delivering insights and solutions that support strategic decision-making and improve business performance. As a data analyst at Citi, I was responsible for understanding and implementing regulatory and CCAR reporting requirements, performing data quality checks, creating and updating data dictionaries, developing test cases, and creating reports and metrics. I worked closely with the production and business teams and contributed to the quarterly reconciliation process and the edit check remediation. I hold an MS in Data Science from Liverpool John Moores University, where I deepen my knowledge and skills in data science and explore new domains and applications. I used Python, Tableau, MySQL, SQL, and Excel to manipulate, analyze, and present data. I applied machine learning and natural language processing techniques to extract useful information from complex and unstructured data sources.
