About Portia Fields

Portia Fields is the Vice President of Business Development at Prudential where she leads the strategy and execution on how to grow Prudential’s addressable market and recruiting pipelines to more Black individuals. By expanding access to resources for Black Americans, she is helping Prudential shift and embed equity into its existing business practices, resulting in helping to build legacies and create generational wealth. Her team is responsible for co-creating business growth targets and operational plans, increasing wealth building education, deepening community engagement and establishing new policy reform that removes systemic barriers for Black Amwricans. She supports and partners with financial advisors to deliver on Prudential's 9 Racial Equity commitments. Her areas of expertise include omni-channel marketing, strategy development, process execution, program management, data analysis, risk management and controls. Portia has contagious enthusiasm, coupled with a relentless work ethic. In addition to her day job, Portia also serves as a Board Chair for Africentric Professional Development Shop (APDS), an organization that specializes in holistic preventive treatment and intervention education for substance abuse and domestic violence victims.
