About Pradeep Kumar Mishra

With over eight years of experience in the field of watershed management, NRM, and climate change, I am currently working at the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a leading public interest research and advocacy organization in India. I am passionate about advancing water security and sustainability in the Global South, and have a strong background in Natural Resources Management, GIS-based planning, data analysis, and policy advocacy. As part of the Water Programme of CSE, I contribute to various initiatives, such as conducting capacity building programs for senior government officials, analyzing and promoting advanced technological measures for water sources, and researching on emerging issues of water and sanitation. I have also worked with IPE Global and Samarthan, where I gained valuable experience in village and watershed planning, climate resilient practices, community development, and government liaisoning. I have a master's degree in social work from TISS and a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering from MGCGV. I am proficient in various GIS and civil designing softwares, as well as data analysis tools, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, SPSS, Tableau, and Power BI.
