Condensed matter theorist and computational scientist, specializing in low-dimensional correlated electron systems, specifically statics and dynamics of frustrated magnets. Currently at NISER, Bhubaneswar, as post-doctoral fellow; calculating INS/RIXS susceptibilities for 1d AFMs and modelling orbital degrees of freedom and their dynamics in crystals. Doctoral work (with Prof. P. Durganandini, SPPU, Pune) involved determination of effects of spin-orbit coupling on ground state properties of spin chains, analytically (using Jordan-Wigner fermionization) and numerically (using density matrix renormalization group, DMRG), and further analysis from a quantum information perspective.
