Hello, I'm Pradeep Upreti, a seasoned finance and enabling services professional with extensive international experience and an unwavering commitment to delivering value. My linguistic capabilities span English, French, Hindi and my mother tongue, Nepalese, allowing me to communicate effectively in diverse cultural environments. I began my educational journey at Tribhuvan University in Nepal, where I received my University Degree in Business Management. Continuing to deepen my knowledge, I pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from Kathmandu University. These academic experiences served as the foundation of my robust understanding of business and finance. My professional journey spans over two decades, with my current role being Head of Finance and Support Services with World Food Programme, in Kampala Uganda. Throughout the years, I have fulfilled key roles in diverse locations such as Nepal, Turkey, Italy, South Sudan, and Uganda managing complex finance and enabling services functions, overseeing teams, and providing strategic financial guidance. My roles have required me to ensure financial accountability, streamline processes, contribute to resource management strategies, and provide innovative financial solutions to meet programmatic goals. As Head of Finance and Support Services at WFP Uganda, I provide strategic leadership in finance, operations, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and impact. I oversee financial management, compliance, risk mitigation, and resource optimization while leading teams in management services, technology, and engineering. Through innovation, governance, and stakeholder engagement, I strengthen financial stewardship, enhance operational excellence, and contribute to WFP’s humanitarian mission with a results-driven and people-centered approach. In previous roles within the same organization, I have utilized my expertise to offer effective leadership, overseeing the corporate finance strategy, and developing policies in line with strategic objectives. I am always keen to leverage my skills and experience to drive efficiency, minimize risk, and align services with business objectives. In every position I've held, my goal remains the same: to make a positive impact through my contributions.
