About Pragya Sharma

I am a graduate from Career Development Practitioner Program at GBC. I have done my Bachelor’s in applied psychology, which gave me invaluable foundational training in the field with the focus being on individual mental health. I have experience with applied research which is transferable to the field of Career Development, helping with resource and information finding to guide Career Clients, enabling them to find current labor market information. My internship experience aided me in developing my active listening skills so that I am able to appropriately comprehend my clients’ career issues. I have graduated from Project Management Program at Durham College where I learnt how to manage projects in different fields. Re-evaluate risks and budgeting of the projects since I wanted to learn how to collaborate with teams when working on projects to meet the organization's needs. Currently, I am working as a Career Coach at Humber College, where I can use my skill set to work with students. To motivate them so they can showcase their abilities in the desired industry. I work with current students, continuing education, alumni of Humber college and prospective students who need help with resumes and cover letter writing, mock interviews, and LinkedIn profiles, along with general career advising sessions. And, I am also working with Eastern College where I am helping current students and recent grads from different provinces of Canada to successfully secure employment in their fields.
