About Pragya Sharma

I’m a multidisciplinary researcher at the nexus of signal processing, deep learning, noninvasive sensing and emerging technologies—driven by a passion for transforming digital health. I’m currently an Instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Schmidt AI in Human Health Fellow, where I lead AI-based chronic-disease flare prediction. Previously, as a Data Scientist at Biofourmis, I helped build next-generation, data-driven healthcare solutions for RPM. I earned my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University, developing novel RF-sensor systems for assisted living—noninvasive cardiopulmonary monitors and occupant-tracking via RF imaging—powered by advanced signal processing and deep learning. I envision continuous health monitoring as a seamless part of daily life, enabling earlier intervention and truly personalized care. My work is dedicated to creating solutions that pair AI with existing and novel noninvasive sensors that bring that vision into reality.
