About Pragya Thakur

My career has been a journey from modeling business to modeling well-being—and now to writing about the systems that shape both. For two decades, I was behind the scenes at companies such as Time Warner, Disney, and American Express, developing the complex financial and strategic models that drove customer growth. It was a world of data, analytics, and optimizing large-scale systems. My own life-changing experience with a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle opened my eyes to a different kind of system: the human body's incredible capacity to heal. I became a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach to help others navigate that journey. Now, as a Master of Public Health candidate at Boston University, I've unified my passions for data, strategy, and wellness into a focus on policy and systems change. My recent publications in The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Law Journal Newsletter explore how environmental health, food policy, and mindful practices intersect with professional performance and social justice.
