About Pragyan Behera

Perpetual dreamer, doer, believer, and explorer. With over 15 years of experience as a dancer and multidisciplinary performance artist, I’ve built a career at the intersection of business strategy, expressive arts, and human wellbeing. I hold a foundation in Psychology and Mass Communication (Audio-Visual specialization), which shapes my approach to leadership, learning, and transformation. I believe people are not the product of the life given to them, but of the life they choose to create. As Assistant General Manager – Category Management at TalentGum, I lead strategy, growth, and category operations. I design curricula, train educators, and implement strategies that create scalable learning solutions, building ecosystems that foster individual growth, organizational development, and inclusive excellence. My work emphasizes holistic growth strategies that integrate innovation, resilience, and wellbeing. Alongside my corporate role, I am a CID-UNESCO certified Dance/Movement Therapy facilitator, Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200), Intuitive Tarot Reader, and Global Arts in Medicine Fellow. My therapeutic and creative practice integrates trauma informed care, somatic awareness, meditation, and visualization techniques to support healing, neurodiversity, resilience, and self awareness. I have facilitated leadership and management training, as well as arts-based interventions, for diverse groups - working with marginalized women and children, as well as professionals and teams at Google, HCL, Tata, BlueStar, Benefit Cosmetics, NPCIL, Symbiosis, IIT, Jagran Public School, Smile Foundation, and Salaam Baalak Trust. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Expressive Arts (Therapy, Education & Peacebuilding) at The European Graduate School, where my research reimagines womanhood in the Indian sub-context, dismantling patriarchal narratives and fostering empowered identities through creative practice. I am less a “jack of all trades” and more a master of integration, bringing together strategy, creativity, somatics, and human connection to build impactful, resilient, and inclusive communities where both individuals and organizations can grow, heal, and thrive.
