Prakash Basnet is the Executive Director and Founder of Play Nepal, an award-winning social enterprise transforming how children engage with physical activity and structured play. With a Master’s in Business Administration from International American University and a Master’s in Training and Development from Kathmandu University School of Education, Prakash blends academic rigor with grassroots execution. Driven by a deep belief in the power of play, Prakash turned his lifelong passion for sports into a national movement—creating a system that embeds fitness, teamwork, and joy into the daily lives of over children across 50+ schools in Nepal. His journey spans entrepreneurship and experience in multinational companies, giving him a balanced lens on both scalability and community impact. Known for his growth mindset, values-driven leadership, and strategic thinking, Prakash is on a mission to elevate future generations—physically, emotionally, and cognitively.
