About Pramod Kulkarni

Pramod has worked in the renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable technology field since 1985.Pramod has been actively involved in analyzing and financing many technologies in these field and has assisted, guided their growth from conception to full commercialization. He worked for the National Center for Energy Technologies (NCAT), California Energy Commission for 22 years, and was actively involved and managed programs financing various stages of technology development. from conception to product commercialization or projects development. Since 2013 Pramod began working with Customized Energy Solutions (CES) as a Senior Advisor. At CES Pramod especially focused on advising on energy storage technologies, analyzed the economics and regulatory regimes affecting energy storage projects' feasibility and financing options in the fasts changing and competitive electricity markets. Pramod has been actively involved with energy storage since 1990 and had a major and active role in starting the energy storage program at the California Energy Commission. He worked closely with and continues to work with the US national labs, UD DOE, project developers, financiers, policy makers and other stakeholders in energy storage technology development, project development and commercialization. Pramod has been a frequent presenter at national and international forums on renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency and financing. These fora were organized by national governments, World Bank, electrical industry regulators, and national laboratories, financiers, industry associations, and technology developers. Pramod has a B.Sc. a MS and an MBA degree. Please note: Pramod is not seeking any jobs opportunities.
