Background
About Pranav Sharma
I aim to build things that resonate with and inspire people to imagine and achieve a different reality in anything I do. Whether I’m leading Program Management and DEI initiatives in a large, multi-platform media enterprise or turning innovative ideas into impactful experiences, products, and businesses, I aim to find and evangelize the “North Star” mission that goes beyond generating revenue, attention, and profit margins.DRIVING RESULTS THROUGH STORYTELLING & COLLABORATIONEarly in my career, after graduating from USC, I wanted to produce films to give people an escape. Although my creative development experience taught me a great deal about the power of storytelling and problem-solving, I didn’t enjoy starting from zero on every new project. In business school, I realized that I thrive in well-resourced environments that act like startups. After teaming with Warner Bros. Television’s CMO to launch digital media initiatives, the C-suite asked me to set up a structured project management operation to support innovative global marketing and operations. Because I excelled at applying operational excellence to accelerate toward strategic objectives, I was then asked to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the successful launch of HBO Max. This herculean effort to rapidly scale this business required aligning 10+ cross-functional teams on priorities, planning, building infrastructure and processes and fostering transparent communications that allow for quick decision-making. As a result of these experiences, my keen understanding of content ROI and how to use data, and my purview across the organization, I regularly partner with the company’s leadership team to formulate strategies and solutions to complex challenges.CONNECTING PEOPLE TO SAY,"YES, AND"I’ve found that the best outcomes arise from unexpected collaborations and getting teams un-siloed. It also emanates from leaders who work with purpose that’s a drumbeat behind their words and actions—a respect-earning cadence that promotes and builds on the premise that we’re working for good together. Believing in amplifying diverse voices and engaging with teams that reflect our society, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as a board advisor and chair of the Network for Asian Pacific Americans at Warner Bros and produce and co-host WB Reflections. As a catalyst for change, I enjoy supporting early education, being a thought leader in business, and helping people make connections on the path to giving the full benefit of their most authentic selves.
