About Pranav Talware

I am currently doing my double Masters in Automotive Engineering in Chalmers University of Technology and I am in my first-year. I have done an Integrated 5-year Masters and Bachelors program in India. I am passionate about batteries and have developed relevant skills in the past couple of years. I’m currently a part of Chalmers Formula Student (CFS) team 2020, as a Project Engineer for Electric Powertrain Subgroup. As a project engineer, I’m responsible for design, manufacturing and testing of 600V battery for CFS20 car. I’m also working with the charger and defining functional requirements for the Battery Management System (BMS). Additionally, I’m also CAD and design responsible for my subgroup, for which I have to communicate with my team members in an agile way to align the CAD and design of the system.Before I started my studies here, I was hired by Bosch Limited, India in their Graduate Program as a system engineer where my primary focus was on batteries. I was responsible for development of Li-ion battery from prototype to product phase. I often collaborated with customers (OEMs) and converted their system requirements to the battery requirements. I made test cases for the 48V battery system, tested the batteries according to it and analysed the log files. I did system level testing on vehicles to satisfy the legislation for the vehicle as well. I even represented Bosch and was delegated to meet Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), an institute of Government of India, for battery homologation.
