About Praneeth Susarla

I am a passionate person working in the field of Machine Vision and Radio Communications. My interest lies in optimization of Machine Learning (ML) algorithms in addition to hardware architecture constraints, in order to run them efficiently in real time. I want to analyse implementations of ML tasks not just at software level, but also consider the hardware interface over which the tasks are deployed, so as to develop real-time solutions with energy, memory and processing efficiencies. I am a self-motivated learner willing to pursue my career in areas of my interests. Despite being a computer science student, I pursued various courses related to Embedded systems as well in order to gain exposure on hardware. Apart from academically gained knowledge, I am currently looking forward to gain industrial exposure as well in the areas such as Computer Architecture, Machine Learning implementations on hardware such as GPU’s and FPGA’s, Robotic Vision, Industrial IoT, Embedded Systems etc. in order to further enhance my skills in the line of my interests. Worked on Masters Thesis by Research on Human Weapon-Activity Detection in Surveillance Videos using deep learning methods under prof. Dinesh Babu Jayagopi. Pursued my PhD in the area of Radio communications with the thesis “learning-based strategies for mmWave radio beamforming and sensing applications” under prof. Olli Silven and prof. Markku Juntti. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher on applying AI for joint communication and sensing applications under prof.Miguel Bordallo Lopez
