About Prasad Sulkshane

I am a Molecular Cell Biologist trained rigorously during my PhD and Postdoctoral studies. My research over the past decade is focused on understanding the diverse signaling pathways that regulate cell death in cancer cells. I also worked with prosurvival autophagy pathways that contribute to cancer cell resistance to apoptosis. Specifically my Postdoctoral studies focussed on how mitophagy (selective autophagy of mitochondria) limits the cell death in response to hypoxic stress. My contribution to the research in these fields is substantiated by several research papers published in international journals. My skill set includes but not limited to molecular cloning CRISPR extensive experience with mammalian cell culture western blotting fluorescence microscopy small animal handling. A decade of research has bestowed me with a mindset of an independent scientist-a principal investigator as well as a team member with a collaborative attitude.
