About Prashant Kudva

Experienced business development professional focused on sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing complex corporate transactions in the biotech industry. In this capacity I lead capital raises including IPOs, venture raises and follow-on offerings, and strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, in-licensing and out-licensing transactions, JVs, collaborations, and partnerships. My experience includes working on over 40 closed strategic transactions with a transaction value of upwards of $30 billion. I currently am the VP of Business Development at EmendoBio, a company focused on gene editing with novel CRISPR nucleases. Prior to this I held BD roles at Generian, Editas and AMAG Pharmaceuticals. Before that I was an investment banker for 14 years with various investment banks largely focused on biotech. I received my Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins. If you catch me outside work, I enjoy walking or hiking with my dogs, trying new cuisines, the theater or traveling. I also serve on the board of the VHL Alliance which is a not for profit seeking to solve a rare genetic disorder and used to serve on the board of the House Theater of Chicago.
