About Prashant Sarin

Prashant Sarin is a Senior Partner with Bain & Company India. He leads the firm’s Advanced Manufacturing & Services practice across Asia Pacific – one of the firm’s largest industry verticals globally and in Asia – and is part of Bain’s leadership team in the region. He previously led Bain’s Advanced Manufacturing & Services, Energy & Natural Resources, Organization and Social Impact practices in India. Prashant was a founding member of Bain & Company’s India practice, joining in 2006, when Bain formally launched its consulting practice in the country. He has spent almost a third of his time at Bain’s Silicon Valley Office, advising the leadership teams of large global Technology companies. He has advised clients across multiple industries including Energy, Technology, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure/ Real Estate - and has deep expertise leading transformation programs with large family managed conglomerates and MNCs in the US, Southeast Asia, and India. Prashant brings rich experience working directly with business families, supporting the Chairman and the Next gen on core leadership topics, including succession planning. He has developed enduring relationships with clients spanning 15+ years, and helped them build leading positions in the industries they compete in. He is passionate about Sustainability and has deep experience helping large conglomerates build new engines of growth (“Engine 2”). Prashant has lived in the US, UK, and India, and served clients around the world. In 2015, Prashant was selected as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum, Davos and as one of India's '40 Under 40' Business Leaders by The Economic Times. In 2014, he was selected as one of India's Top 25 Young Executives by Business Today. Prashant was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, where he earned a Master's in Management Studies. He was an Aditya Birla Scholar at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, where he received an MBA. He graduated from Delhi University with a B.Engg. in Civil Engineering. Prashant is married with two children. In his personal time, he enjoys reading, traveling, watching live performances and long-distance running. He is an active angel investor.
