About Prashant Vaghela

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer at Yokogawa Australia & New Zealand I am responsible for ensuring the smooth operations at Chevron's LNG plants. I have over four years of experience in process automation advanced process control and process engineering working with leading petrochemical companies and technologies. I have successfully designed and implemented Advanced Process Control on Aspen DMCPlus to enhance the plant's efficiency and performance as well as developed and commissioned ABB 800xA and MOD5 control systems for light hydrocarbon plants in USA. I have also gained expertise in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Basic Process Control System (BPCS) and created various engineering documents and databases. I enjoy collaborating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders for successful project completion. Outside of everyday work I am passionate about learning and reading about leadership and personal development. I am also a member of The Institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) and hold certifications from Dow and Aspen Technology. I am proud of my achievements such as commissioning one of the world's largest capacity LDPE plant leading the complete lifecycle of two high pressure reciprocating compressors and setting up a blueprint of implementation standards for APC interface on ABB. I am also a founding member of a musical band 'SARGAM' at Dow India along with other colleagues and performed at various events.
