I am a specialist in numerical methods for scientific computing. Currently I work at the interface of computational mechanics and machine learning for applications in the oil and energy industry. Update (Jun-2022): I lead the work package on digitalisation and renewable energies integration in the EU Horizon project:@Plastics2Olefins. Software development skills. Languages: C/C++, Python, MATLAB; APIs: OpenMP, MPI; DevOps: Docker, CMake, Git. I wrote the kernel (innermost building blocks) of xFire: a C++ software project I initiated at CIMNE-Barcelona for the parallel implementation of the semi-Lagrangian PFEM. I wrote several CMake build files (e.g. for the BLOPEX library) and dockerfiles for multi-stage docker builds. Communication and public engagement skills. Invited talks: General conference 2022 of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences; Data science track @ J on the Beach 2022; Euro PhD school @ U.Sevilla. I lectured the piece on Approximation Theory (12h) of the 15-credit course MATH4/66052 (Year-4 MMath and MSc Math level) at the School of Mathematics, University of Manchester. I also led the tutorials for 36 students in the service course MATH19852 (Foundation Year). I led research stations (Maths) at the Science Uncovered (Sep 29, 2017) and Science Spectacular (Oct 21, 2017) public-engagement events in Manchester, UK. I presented a poster at the House of Commons (Mar 12, 2018) in the Mathematical Sciences session of the STEM for BRITAIN 2018 event. Currently, I lead the communication activities of the Advanced Mathematics discipline at the Repsol TechLab. Writing and reviewing skills. My MSCA-IF grant proposal scored 96.20%(panel: Mathematics) and secured funding of €195,454.80 for 24 months as single investigator. I have published 15 articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals and wrote technical summary reports on fire-dynamics simulation and chemical (DNA) computing. I have reviewed articles for several journals in the applied mathematics category and served as an external examiner of a PhD thesis defended at UPC-BarcelonaTech. General proficiency. I was awarded the Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma gold medal (IIT Guwahati) and the Messrs. Tata Steel most promising civil engineer award (IIT Kanpur) which are meant to recognise excellence in academic performance, character, conduct, extra-curricular activities and social service.
