About Pratapaditya Bej

I am a Senior Scientist at Happiest Minds Technologies Limited, where I focus on developing quantum computing algorithms and implementing them using Qiskit. My current work is centered around applying quantum computing to healthcare, leveraging quantum algorithms to enhance predictive models and optimize data analysis. Before joining Happiest Minds in September 2024, I was a Mathematical Engineer at ExamRoom.AI. There, I played a key role in the development of post-quantum cryptography protocols and quantum key distribution systems. I also filed two patents related to quantum key distribution. With nine years of research experience in quantum information and computation, I have expertise in Quantum Computing, Quantum Key Distribution, Quantum Teleportation, Entanglement Swapping, and Network Nonlocality. I earned my Ph.D. from Bose Institute, Kolkata, where I focused on "Information-disturbance trade-off and quantum correlations in generalized entanglement swapping." I also hold a Master's degree in Physics from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Ramakrishna Mission Narendrapur. I was a Senior Research Fellow at Bose Institute, specializing in Quantum Information and Computation, Quantum Networks, and Quantum Cryptography. In addition to research, I have been an Assistant Professor at Sister Nivedita University, Techno International, and Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Pradesh), where I mentored students and developed curricula for quantum physics and cryptography courses. I also review for top-tier journals, including Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A, World Scientific Journal, and Quantum Information Processing (Springer). I am proficient in Python, FORTRAN, Mathematica, and Qiskit for quantum algorithm development. I have authored twelve publications, five in Physical Review Journals, and others in APL Quantum, Physics Letters A, Quantum Information Processing, and Modern Physics Letters A.
