Prateek is an Industrial Engineer for apparel sourcing and production having an experience of more than 14 years. He is certified in Lean six sigma green belt and Pro SMV gold level practitioner. Currently, he works at JCPenney India office as a global senior specialist for strategic costing for optimal product price of apparel for the 600+ stores based in US and also on jcp.com via ecom. He liaisons with suppliers across the globe to understand their cost structure and advise ways to be efficient with the costs to create a win win situation for both supplier partner and JCPenney. He carries out extensive analyses of the open cost sheets shared by the supplier and guides them to the true cost enabling a great price point for sourcing. Previously, he has worked with one of the largest apparel exporters of India"Shahi Exports" for 6 years in varied roles such as IE executive, costing engineer, project leader, IE executive etc. Apart from these regular day to day responsibilities, he had been involved in numerous projects of manpower training and schooling in order to increase the productivity and efficiency of the individual and the organization. Prateek has done his basic schooling from Oak Grove School, Mussorie. He has a professional degree in Apparel production from NIFT, Gandhinagar, the pioneer institute of fashion technology in India. He passed out in year 2010.
