About Pratik Gujar
I am currently working as a postdoctoral research associate and lecturer at the Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras under the guidance of Prof. Pijush Ghosh and Prof. Manu Santhanam. I am interested in investigating the interfacial performance of polymer-coated concrete systems. This includes the evaluation of interfacial strength between concrete hydrated for different durations and coatings by applying macro-mechanical experimental techniques. Along with the experiments, I work on finite element simulations to understand the fracture behavior of polymer-coated cement paste systems. My research interest includes Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures, Cementitious Materials Characterization (both Strength and Durability), Sustainable Construction Materials, Fracture Mechanics, and Phase-field Method.
