About Pratik Joshi

I work at Dolby Labs as an ML researcher in Advanced Technology Group (ATG) focusing on model optimization and deployment. I enjoy applying my technical abilities and domain experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to real-world problems. As a Machine Learning Engineer at Tech Mahindra, I worked in the TensorFlow gTech team as a TVC at Google. I am also a PhD holder in Computer Vision and Bioinformatics at Indian Institute of Information Technology Design & Manufacturing Kancheepuram, where I conducted research on Machine Learning Algorithms for Abnormal Entity Detection. My thesis involves developing novel methods for detecting anomalies in images and videos using deep learning and statistical techniques. I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and received a gold medal for academic excellence and a 10.0 CGPA in coursework. I am passionate about learning new skills and exploring interdisciplinary domains, such as TinyML, LLMs, and Open Source. I have contributed to various open source projects, such as TensorFlow, Keras and TensorFlow Lite. I enjoy working in diverse and collaborative teams, and I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities in the field of AI and ML.
