About Pratik Thakkar

As Country head of DVK Resources (Indonesia), I lead our efforts in one of the world’s most resource-rich regions — connecting Indonesia’s mineral potential with India’s growing clean energy demand. My journey in the energy and resources sector spans over 15 years — starting in India (2010–2011), where I learned the intricacies of operations; continuing in Singapore (2011–2020), where I gained deep insights into global commodity flows; returning to India (2020–2023) to strengthen trade networks and strategic partnerships; and now, since 2023, leading operations in Indonesia — at the very heart of the next resource revolution. My foundation lies in coal trading, an industry that taught me the nuances of markets, negotiation, and value creation. As the world transitions toward cleaner and smarter energy systems, I’ve expanded my focus to critical minerals — nickel, lithium, cobalt, and rare earths — the true enablers of the global energy transition. At DVK Resources, our mission is to bridge opportunities between Indonesia’s vast mineral wealth and India’s fast-growing industrial and clean energy sectors — fostering partnerships built on trust, insight, and a long-term vision.
