About Pratima Nallagatla

After completing my degree in bioengineering, I began my career at Roche, spending nine years in in vitro diagnostics product development, studying both pre- and post-launch phases. From my foundational role as a product requirements manager, I led verification and validation efforts and clinical trials to ensure each launch met the set standards. As a root-cause investigator in the post-launch phase, I applied the CAPA framework to resolve global product discrepancies. I concluded my work at Roche and completed my degree in computational biology in 2019, then joined Stanford Genetics as a junior bioinformatician in the SCGPM computational biology team. In 2022, I joined the Gruber Lab in the Dept. of Pediatrics to focus my research on regulatory mechanisms affecting cell differentiation and cancer progression in high-risk subtypes of pediatric leukemia. In 2024, I completed a five-month training in pediatric health policy research and rejoined the lab in early 2025 where I continue my work with a deeper understanding of clinical application and access. I’m deeply passionate about pediatric healthcare and helping effective therapies reach patients, especially those in communities impacted by socioeconomic factors. My interests include regulatory and manufacturing strategies and harmonizing frameworks for personalized therapies.
