Ph.D. Thesis: A holistic approach to a context-aware IoT ecosystem with Adaptive Ubiquitous Middleware - Devised context-aware Adaptive Ubiquitous Middleware (AUM) architecture by utilising the functionalities and capabilities of fog and cloud computing- Conceptualised and enforced an adaptive, comprehensive, generic ontology-based mechanism to represent, organise, and manage context in an IoT ecosystem, considering pertinent context dimensions in various IoT ecosystems- Formulated a probabilistic model-based goal-driven fail-aware mechanism to properly identify, tackle, and mitigate performance issues during state transition of the context- Architected a multi-agent, multi-communication protocol-facilitated middleware that acts as an integration point for applications to access relevant context, share it with other applications, and avail of relevant services via a multi-communication protocol bridge- Formulated a stochastic model-based optimal service allocation for a single service class that utilises available computing resources of central, fog, and cloud servers and achieves a minimum average response time- Architected and developed an OWL2 DL-based ontology framework for the IoT ecosystem- Architected, developed, and deployed docker-based Adaptive Ubiquitous Middleware that accepts connections over multiple protocols, viz. HTTP, MQTT, and WebSocket (Microservices architecture style, Angular JS as front-end, Golang as back-end). Research Interest: Internet of Things, Context-aware Computing, Semantic Technologies, Ontology, Wireless Sensor Networks, Data Analysis & Visualization, Machine Learning, Probabilistic Models Research Experience: 8 years of research experience in 3 projects including RTWSN Lab, MICRONet, and SORTIE. 3 first author publications in peer-reviewed journals, 9 publications in reputed conferences, 4 book chapters, and 1 manuscript under peer review. Teaching Experience: 7 years experience as teaching assistant for M.Tech students. Co-advisor for 6 master’s theses.
