About Preet Patel

I always believe every process - no matter how established - can be improved. That belief started back in my Mechanical Engineering days, where I was fascinated by how design and execution meet. It carried into my first role in quality engineering, where I learned to spot issues others overlooked and turn them into opportunities for improvement. But I wanted to go beyond fixing problems at the end of the line - I wanted to reimagine the entire process. That curiosity led me into supply chain management, where technology, data, and collaboration became my tools to create change. I’ve optimized inventory flows, simplified operations, and helped teams work with greater clarity and speed. Now, as a Master’s student in Engineering Management at USC, I’m blending my technical foundation with leadership and strategy. I’ve applied that blend in my summer internship as a continuous improvement intern - building dashboards that guide better decisions, streamlining multi-source data processes, and creating SOPs that ensure consistent quality across teams. What sets me apart is the way I bridge details and big-picture thinking - I can deep dive into a process, find its inefficiencies, and connect the dots to deliver results that last. I’m looking ahead to a Fall ’25 internship where I can keep transforming complexity into clarity and help organizations work smarter, not harder.
