About Preetha Subramanian

Hello! I am an accounting graduate from India with 4 years of accounting experience and 3 years of teaching experience. After graduating from “The Ethiraj College for Women”, I worked as a Process Associate for Tata Consultancy Services, India. As a part of the accounting team, I supported the accounts receivable function for my client ‘The Home Depot’, USA, during which period, I was also promoted to Senior Process Associate. Subsequently, I carried forward these skills in managing the general accounting function for an upcoming startup organization in India – Frozen Elephant Studios and operated several accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, month-end closures, etc. I also explored a career in the teaching profession and worked as an elementary school teacher in India and Bahrain. This was an intentional decision at that point to support my young and growing family. Nevertheless, as my passion and core focus has always been accounting, I’m now in the market exploring accounting roles in which I can enhance my skills and experience. I’m authorized to work in the Canadian market and hold an approved work permit. To stay committed to, and excited about my accounting career, I’m currently enrolled as a US CPA student and hope to crack the CPA in the very near future.
