I’m Preethi Srikanth - a cybersecurity graduate student with 3 years of experience in ERP development and Security Operations (SOC). My career began at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where I contributed to both enterprise application development and security engineering, giving me a well-rounded view of how systems are built and how they can be protected. In my ERP role, I worked on designing, customizing, and enhancing business-critical systems using technologies like Java, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and ReactJS. This gave me a strong foundation in full-stack development and business process logic. Later, I transitioned to cybersecurity, where I handled threat detection and response using Splunk, SOAR, and other tools. I developed and tuned over 100 SIEM rules, reduced false positives by 35%, and automated incident response workflows that cut response times nearly in half. I also conducted regular threat hunts using the MITRE ATT\ & CK framework and collaborated with teams to remediate vulnerabilities. Currently pursuing my Master’s at Concordia University, I continue to expand my skills in cloud security, container hardening, GRC, and endpoint protection.
