I do consider myself as a vocally articulate attorney with good drafting, communication and listening skills. I have the ability to draw reasonable logical conclusions from relevant limited inputs – a key ability quintessential to any lawyer. Honestly, I do anticipate potential areas of weakness in my litigative facets that must be fortified against and earnestly endeavour to spot points of weakness in my adversaries’ cases, distilling the facts and situations, evaluating legal strategies, in accord with the clients’ need. Am well cognizant of the fact that law is never an abstract practice. Irrelevant of how well, one does academically, at the end of the day, as a lawyer, I do work with people, on behalf of people and any verdict affect the people’s lives. I do believe that desired outcomes are a result of the personable and persuasive conduct of the litigations or even by reaching a favourable negotiation with the adversary as an alternative dispute resolution mode. Needless to mention that perseverance is not a long race, but many short races, one after the other. Finally, my policy is not only being logical and analytical, but also in a great deal of creativity, as I believe that the best solutions are not always the most obvious and in order to outmanoeuvre your opponent, it is indispensable to ponder outside the box. Coming to my professional career, having started as a lawyer during 1994, I served as the Government Pleader & Public Prosecutor for the State of Kerala and also as the Standing Counsel for the Union of India. Apart from being the legal advisor to various multi-national companies, I have handled several high stake civil litigations, apart from having successfully handled scores of sensational criminal cases. My areas of specialties are Anti-Corruption, Aviation, Banking & Finance, Civil, Criminal, Customs, Debt Recovery & Securitization, Foreign Exchange Regulation, Intellectual Property and Litigation.
