About Preston Capps

I am a successful IT Professional specializing in hardware issues, miner software issues, and the total client experience. After finishing my BS at UCM, my overall 3 years of experience in the IT support field have been very productive. It did take a little while for me to find my niche in this field, but it lead me to my current position at Cerner. I have had a lot of ups and downs but I have grown so much, especially with my time at Cerner. The client experience really is the number one thing to remember. It has been a great learning experience for me, on how to give the end-user the confidence and assurance, they need, that you are going to get their issue fixed ASAP. Communication is so important in this field of work not only to the client but also between your co-workers. Following up with the end-user to confirm that their issue has been resolved is very important but it is equally important to follow up with co-workers. If they are in a different department than you, they may be on a different timeline than you are and that can affect the overall client experience. Having these experiences have given me the opportunity to grow and expand my IT skills and I hope for many more in the future.
