Naval veteran served as EA-18G Avionics Lead Inspector: Responsible for planned inspections and unplanned maintenance for the flight control, environmental, and display systems. My team would program navigational and weapon systems. Additionally, we would perform delicate wire/electric component assessment and repair. During aircraft flight operations, I operated as lead SME for troubleshooting all flight critical systems including engine function, airframe condition, avionics, and flight control. This included communicating with pilots and translating system code to determine status of aircraft. Ultimately would perform risk assessment and worked with pilots in order to ensure aircraft and human pilots returned from safe flight. Lead contact between flight line crew, flight operations, and airport tower control. I was responsible for coordinating maintenance, aircraft movement, and flight line operations. This coordination required quick thinking and anticipation in order to keep naval resources safe and operational.
