About Priscilla Castro

I have worked in the music industry for most of my professional life. From bar tending and booking at a small venue in San Diego (The Hideout and various other clubs), to an 800 capacity room (Music Box) where I was Box Office manager: training, scheduling, accounting, light booking. I also moved to the ticketing space, working at TicketWeb / Live Nation in Los Angeles. After being furloughed during the COVID-19 pandemic, I spent my time volunteering where I could and started a mutual aid group offering hot meals and other needed items to folks in need. This led me to Prison Yoga Project. I had always been a fan of yoga and being of service. I received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification through PYP after building our online course. I have taught in jails and other facilities. I joined the team for admin, bookkeeping, IT, and customer service. I am an enthusiastic teammate and have a great attention to detail. Much of my experience includes creating standard operating procedures, so I enjoy finding the most efficient way to get something done and documenting that process.
