About Priscilla Lee

I have been working at the CSULB Child and Family Center since 2013, and I have been Lead Toddler Teacher since 2016. The Child and Family Center is a unique childcare center on campus. Being a teacher training facility and lab school, I directly work with undergraduate fieldwork students working towards their Child Development degree. I have both a B.A. in Child Development and Family Studies and a M.A. in Early Childhood Education from CSULB. I have years of experience working with infants to adolescents, but Toddlerhood is my current favorite age group to teach. In the classroom, my current areas of interest include integrating early learning science through play and presenting at professional development events. I present annually at Early Head Start events for the LA County of Education, and in 2019, I traveled to Guizhou, China to present at an international early learning science conference. I also have a strong interested in integrating children's home languages into the classroom. I take pride in being multi-lingual and making sure all the children feel welcomed at school. I am also a part-time lecturer in the CSULB Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, and a part-time adjunct faculty at Long Beach City College in the Child Development and Educational Studies Department. My philosophy of higher educational teaching is to bridge the gap between curricula and practicum.
