To my future employer: What is the meaning of hard work? In order for me to explain who I am and what I aim to achieve, the question above needs to be answered. The meaning of hard work to me is getting up with the sun and working until the job is done. I am a hard-working woman! In my future, I see a career I love and live to do every day. Even if it involves getting my hands dirty and shoveling manure, I am okay with that. My passion in life is to work in the equine industry. I am unsure of the path that I will be led down, whether it be reproduction management or the training and managing a barn. Those goals are still yet to be determined, but what I do know is that I am ready to hit the ground running and see where it takes me. The career goals I am working to accomplish are as follows-Obtain a good internship after graduation to earn knowledge of the industry-Work from the bottom up, until I reach my desired position-Make time for family and friends along the way-Reopen the family business. To accomplish the goals I have set, I plan to work hard and show that I will be a great asset to your team. A better understating of who I am and what shaped me comes from my background. I grew up in small-town Ridgeland, South Carolina. I played sports in high school and rode horses alongside my mom. The horse industry was big in my family until my grandfather passed away. That is what has led to me pursue my goals of reopening the family business. We are a small business family and it’s in my blood to run a business and work with what I know and love. I am not great at all I do, but I do the best I can and give it all I have! Help me, help you. Teach me all the knowledge to the industry that I grew up loving, while I lead a helping hand and prove my good work ethic.
