About Pritha Agarwalla

PhD level scientist with 6+ years of experience in cell therapy, immuno-oncology and drug delivery. Efficient team leader as demonstrated by spearheading several collaborative efforts (scientists, clinicians, industry partners) with excellent time management and communication skill. Developed two transformative scaffold technologies. The first mediates viral transduction of difficult-to-transduce cells under static condition (Advanced Healthcare Materials 2020, optioned for licencing), enabling rapid and simple cellular transduction without the use of transduction promoting agents and high speed centrifugation. The second, named “MASTER,” generates CAR T cells inside the body, which reduced CAR-T cell manufacturing time from the traditional 4-8 weeks to a single day (Nature Biotechnology, 2022). In my graduate school, I have developed lipid nanoparticle and gold nanoparticle based nanocarriers that could sensitize cancer cells to low dose chemotherapy. I have a diverse training in chemistry (undergraduate), anti-cancer therapeutics (Ph.D), and cell therapies (postdoc). I am most passionate about using engineering outlook to enable translatable technologies for unmet needs in medicine.
