About Pritha Sen

I am a highly experienced professional with a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a strong background in the academic publishing industry. My expertise lies in peer review management, communication with external stakeholders, vendor management, and project management. Throughout my publishing career, I have been dedicated to improving the quality and accessibility of scientific research. Over the years I have developed a deep understanding of the industry's trends and challenges. I have successfully managed the peer review process for many scientific journals, helping to ensure that only the research of the highest standard gets published. I have also worked closely with stakeholders, authors, editors, and reviewers, to ensure a smooth transition through various steps associated with the publication of any research article and in turn foster positive relationships among authors, editors, and reviewers. With my strong analytical and communication skills, I can effectively manage complex projects, coordinate multiple teams, deliver results on time, and bring in new ideas to ensure continuous progress and development. My experience in both the academic and publishing worlds has provided me with a unique perspective on research content management, and I am dedicated to helping publishers and researchers navigate this field. Prior to joining the publishing industry, I was doing my doctoral research in electrocatalysis and my research interest was carbon dioxide reduction. We reported the first catalyst known to perform carbon dioxide reduction under aerobic conditions. My doctoral research tenure allowed me to view the publishing industry from an author’s perspective while on the flip side of the table working as an editor gave me the opportunity to visualize things from an editor's perspective. Six years of research experience and one year of teaching experience followed by three years of experience as an editor gave me the unique opportunity to have a perspective of a researcher, a teacher, and an editor which can be beneficial for the publishing industry as a whole.
