About Prithviraj Jayakumar

As the founder of Shroom Technologies, I am working on a unique sustainable technology that uses filamentous mycelia to create 100% bio-based, biodegradable, and eco-friendly packaging material. This innovative solution has the potential to replace Styrofoam, plastic, and cardboard packaging, and reduce environmental pollution and waste. I am also cultivating a rare medicinal fungus, Cordyceps militaris, Shiitake, and Lion's Mane which has multiple health benefits and applications. With 6+ years of experience in the biotech industry, I have gained expertise in various bio-analytical methods, protein purification, transformation, cell-based assays, and molecular techniques. I have also contributed to the development and validation of ELISA assays, cytotoxicity assays, and wound healing assays, using bacterial and mammalian cells. I have a master's degree in biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology, where I learned the fundamentals and applications of biotechnology in various fields. I have strong communication, networking, and presentation skills, and I am passionate about creating innovative solutions that can improve the quality of life and the environment.
