About Pritom Deb

With over 11 years of experience in software engineering, I am passionate about developing innovative and scalable solutions for complex problems. I have a strong background in Java, GraphQL, RESTful WebServices, and Machine Learning, and I am currently working as a Principal Engineer at Oracle, where I contribute to the Oracle for Research platform. Oracle for Research is a platform for products, capabilities, and resources to simplify the research process and accelerate discovery around humanity’s most urgent needs. I share Oracle's vision of empowering researchers across all disciplines to explore novel ways to achieve ground-breaking results and make the world a better place. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked in different domains, such as e-commerce, mobile device management, and order management systems, in the past. In my current role, I am working on Oracle Open Data and Oracle Workstation Service, with the goal to make consumption of Cloud secure, easier, and more accessible to more researchers across any scientific domain. I leverage my skills in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to design and develop efficient and robust APIs and services that enable seamless integration and orchestration of data and resources. I also apply my knowledge of Machine Learning to enhance the platform's capabilities and features, such as data analysis, visualization, and recommendation. I am proud of being part of a team that delivers high-quality products that support and advance the research community.
