About Priya Abhyankar

With more than 18 years of experience, I began as an English trainer, followed by a support Engineer supporting native French speakers with their issues on storage software, and moved on to work and grow as a technical writer. Sought diverse and varied experience in domains ranging from storage, finance, to Networking. Went on to specialise as a technical writer and then led a team of writers from different product groups as a part of the Documentation CoE team. Areas of experience and expertise- Leading and managing CoE teams made up of technical writers - Designing, writing, editing, and publishing user documentation like user manuals, installation and operations guides, enhancements, release notes - Excellent reading, writing, and analytical skills - Trained on API documentation - Expertise in editing and peer review of documentation as per industry standards - Knowledge of writing tools: Vasont, X-Metal, MadCap Flare, Serna, MindTouch, FrameMaker, Adobe Professional. Project management tools: Perforce, JIRA, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket. Imaging tools like MwSnap, MS Visio, Irfan View, MS Paint- Worked in agile scrum teams, CoE teams from different project groups.
