About Priya Bhowmik

I was born and raised here in the wonderful state of Colorado. I grew up in Windsor and Greeley, Colorado. Furthermore, I am an undergrad student currently in my senior year, studying environmental engineering at Colorado State University. The reason why I picked Environmental Engineering is due to many factors, such as; my passion for science, my interest in water facilities, and my grandfather(Dadu) has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. My grandfather is a huge inspiration to me, he moved from Indian to the United States, there were many obstacles, but he still overcame them.CSU is more than just a school, it allows you to make new connections, get working experience, and prepare you for the future. Currently, part of a few professional affiliations at CSU, such as; Society Of Women Engineers, Gamma Beta Phi- National Honor Society, and Rams Without Borders. CSU has allowed me to become a better teacher, I currently work for Academic Village as a Tutor for Environmental/Civil Engineers. I also work for Engineering Ram Orientation Staff at CSU. Both of these jobs have allows me to work on working with others and building my communication skills.
