About Priya Ghai

One of my most cherished memories from school involves attending a parent-teacher conference, where my teacher told my parents,"Priya is undoubtedly one of the most talkative students; no matter where I place her in the classroom, she finds a way to strike up conversations with everyone!" This early affinity for communication laid the foundation for a lifelong skill that has evolved through out the life. From participating in debate competitions during my school and college days and to working into different profiles cross functionally, that allows me to utilize this skill in different ways, I've learned that effective communication is at the core of any successful leader. I landed on a gold mine when I had my first job in Supply chain domain. Where I had the opportunity to grasp the essence of "Supply Chain Management" from the ground up. Getting hands-on experience on Inventory Management and Procurement was really exciting. My tenure in the Purchase department gave me the understanding of SCM from a different angle. I learned vendor negotiations, rate contracts and purchase orders. I was also entrusted with the responsibility of managing and handling operations for the OPD pharmacy. Fueled by my passion for this dynamic domain that resonated with my aspirations. I've accumulated over 8.5 years of enriching experience in the industry. In my most recent chapter with Meesho, I achieved a remarkable feat by dispatching of 5.4 million orders in a single day—an milestone post Diwali sale. This achievement was the result of synchronized efforts from my team. By employing a targeted approach, we collaborated closely with high-volume sellers and those with a significant default rate. Our coordination with third-party logistics partners, conducted through intense war room discussions, amplified pickup conversions through swift on-ground challenge resolution. As for my functional prowess: 1. Inventory Optimization 2. Purchasing 3. Contract Management 4. Vendor Negotiations 5. Planning and Forecasting, 6. Operations Management 7. Team Handling Beyond the confines of work, my passions flourish. You might find me weaving culinary magic in the kitchen, cooking up delectable creations.
