About Priya Una

My passion for technology began in high school where I became involved with FIRST Robotics. I was president of the team of over 120 people, leading the operations of six subdivisions, managing the finances and acting a liaison between the parents, teachers and students involved. In recognition of my efforts on my team and my dedication to robotics outreach, I became Student Board Member of FIRST Indiana Robotics working with the regional directors and program partners to deliver the best robotics experience to students in Indiana. In university, I co-founded the startup Foodmeets, a mobile app that promotes socialization through food. My co-founder and I revived the idea from a high school project and finalized at the Vernon Idea Clapp Competition, received a investment from the Shoebox Fund and a investment from Elevate Ventures. It is these experiences that have shaped me as a leader and reinforced my love of working in a technical team. As an Informatics major, I get to use my skills in Tableau, Looker, SQL and Python to visualize data in meaningful ways in order to guide leadership of any team.
