I am the founder of Elliot a legal innovation consulting services firm. I help my clients improve the delivery of their legal services. I do this by addressing 3 aspects (i) people (ii) process and (iii) technology. I have previously worked as a corporate lawyer in the areas of finance financial regulatory securities litigation M&A and general corporate. I have advised financial entities (banks NBFCs insurance companies etc.) on the structuring of their India operations their securities litigation with SEBI and their dealings with financial regulators. I have also worked on M&A transactions and general corporate advisory matters. I have exposure to jurisprudence of other countries through my masters in law at Columbia Law School where I was able to study legislation of other countries and understand their impact on international and domestic corporate transactions. My first entrepreneurial stint was at Fitmonk a fit-tech startup which allowed a user to book a work-out session at different fitness centres on an hourly basis. However we quickly learned that most Indians prefer catching up with friends over a movie or beer than hitting the gym and had to close down. I enjoy playing badminton dancing and eating dark chocolate. I also enjoy teaching - I have been a professor of law (I taught at my alma mater Government Law College Mumbai) for an entire semester and did some volunteer teaching at schools and churches.
