Having more than 15 years of experience in the fashion and textile industry in India, this summary will definitely reflect me and my future goals. This section of my profile is dedicated to everything about me and I hope, that through these, you are able to know more about the person behind my work and my brain child, along with my partner, of our GLOCAL brand “ARTE-ALTER”. I am a fashion and textile designer and have been a part of design and development projects for few exceptional companies during those years, including indian home grown brands like Sabyasachi, Garo, Tahweave and few others. After working for several brands, as design and production assistant, creative director and freelance projects, me and my partner (ex colleague and textile designer) co-founded an organic and sustainable fashion and lifestyle brand named “ARTE-ALTER”. INSTAGRAM HANDLE: ARTE.ALTER I specialize in standards based XHTML, adobe photoshop, coral draw and presently training in adobe illustrator as well. Although I am presently working on my brand, I am also open to freelance design and textile design projects, part timely or remotely. I am open to ethical collaborations and private labeling for my brand as well in India and abroad. Along with the distribution of my brand, we are presently private labeling with textiles for few home grown brands, who value handwoven, natural dyed and natural fiber textiles. I would like to talk little bit about my co-founded brand “ARTE-ALTER”. “ARTE-ALTER” is a fashion and lifestyle brand which proudly promotes sustainability and social responsibility as its core design philosophy and this is reflected in our products and more importantly in the design and development process. We firmly believe in creating impact, from the betterment of artisans in terms of health and safety, to hand woven textile revival in a contemporary fashion. We are going back to our roots by celebrating the country’s immense talent and at the same time respecting the artisans associated with every art forms, respecting our culture, respecting and protecting our nature and most importantly creating a global, local and ethical brand (GLOCAL BRAND), where we are motivated to take local art forms from India and present to the global market, by practicing ethical manufacturing practices, to reduce carbon / water footprint.
