About Priye Diri

Priye Diri is a Young Feminist Filmmaker and Development Expert with experience in Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Response and Prevention; she is passionate about telling compelling and intimate stories that disrupt and challenges conventional images of women's lives. She has over seven years of experience in the Prevention and Response of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria. She has been actively involved in promoting gender justice and democracy in Nigeria. Priye's experience includes working as a case manager, Programs and Productions manager and Programs, Advocacy and Productions Manager, where she provided the first response to over women and girls. Priye holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Niger Delta University and is pursuing a Master's in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. Priye is a member of the StateOfEmergencyGBV, A Heinrich Boll Stiftung Green Academy Fellow, Change.Org We Create Change Fellow, Civicus Grassroots Solidarity Storyteller and a 2023 Mandela Washington Fellow. I aspire to contribute significantly towards improving the lives of women and girls through direct response while creating advocacy materials that will educate and train them to find their voice through storytelling.
