About Prosper Chiu

Over the summer, I had two wonderful experiences. The first being a study abroad consulting program hosted by the Beacon Fellowship. I was lucky enough to meet 15 other intelligent college students from across the nation to work together on a consulting project led by an ex-McKinsey Consultant. Meeting so many people at a time, especially in a foreign country (Barcelona, Spain), forced me out of my comfort zone, and taught me the importance of working in a team as well as concise/clear communication. I was also able to learn so much about an entirely different industry and their technology by working with one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, Roche. It really pushed me in the direction of what I want to focus on coming back to school. My second experience was as a Marketing intern at OhmniLabs. Through this experience, I gained many valuable mentors teaching me all types of marketing from brand marketing to inbound marketing by considering the website's SEO and how to best achieve it. Working in a professional environment surrounded by full-time employees was a very valuable experience to me. I was constantly learning different things from shadowing the Product Manager to producing employee spotlight interviews. It was a wonderful glimpse of the professional life to come in my career journey. I am extremely grateful for these opportunities, and I'm thrilled to pursue a career in consulting.
